FAQS
Your questions answered
You will meet with your tutor regularly. In this meeting, you will look back at what you have learned and completed since your last session, including your off-the-job learning. You will get feedback on your progress and guidance on what to improve. Together, you and your tutor will agree to an action plan for the month ahead, and they will help you book onto any extra workshops that they think might be helpful.
Your learning materials will be accessible via our learner platform. Links will also be given in your review documents. If you have any problems with them, you tutor will be able to help.
When you sign up to a programme you will be sent a learning assessment. Once you’ve completed it, we’ll review your results with you and discuss any additional support or reasonable adjustments that could help.
As well as resources tailored to your programme, plus one-to-one support from your tutor, you can also attend workshops where you can meet and network with others working in your sector.
Extra support for English and maths is also available if needed.
Your tutor will talk through your progress with you at your monthly review, letting you know how you’re doing and what’s going well. If you fall behind at any point, don’t worry. Your tutor will work with you to help you catch up and get back on track.
Your employer will give you paid time during work hours to complete your learning. This is known as off-the-job training. This might include training at work or dedicated study time. They’ll also be kept up to date on your progress and invited to join the first 15 minutes of each review to hear how you’re progressing and give feedback.
You’ll be assessed in a few different ways, including written work, discussions, examples of your work, workbooks, and observations in your workplace. Your line manager may also provide witness statements to support evidence of your learning.
If your apprenticeship includes an End-Point Assessment, your tutor will talk you through this. You will get plenty of support to prepare, including mock exercises. If you don’t pass first time, you’ll get the chance to re-sit.
You can talk to your tutor at any time, not just during your monthly review. They’re there to support you with anything that’s affecting your learning, whether that’s personal, workplace related, or something else. We also have a dedicated team of Mental Health First Aiders, along with a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer, who you can speak to directly, if you’d prefer.
We can never promise to keep a secret when it comes to safeguarding. What we can promise is that we will always do everything we can to keep you safe. What you share will be treated sensitively and only passed on to the right person if we believe you, or someone else, may be at risk.
