Eligibility

.

These programmes are available if you are:

  • Age 19+
  • Working within adult care
  • Indefinite leave to remain in the UK

Advanced learner loans are provided by the student loans company.

Why choose advanced learner loan funded courses?

.

The government will cover the cost of the course for you via an Advanced Learner Loan.

You will not have to make any repayments unless you are earning more than £25,000 per year. You’ll repay 9% of your income over £25,000 a year. Even if your income doesn’t exceed £25,000 a year but is over £480 a week or £2,083 a month at any point in the year (e.g., if you work overtime) then a loan deduction will be made.

For example, if you’re paid monthly and earn £2,500 before tax you’d pay 9% of the difference between what you earn and what the threshold is:

£2,500 - £2,083 = £417

9% of £226 = £37.53

Your student loan repayment would be £37 in that month.

Work based learning – No college, No university.

No maths or English Functional Skills included.

Enjoy the benefits of an NUS card (exclusive student discount on high street brands).
